As part of countdown to the 80th birthday anniversary of the Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka, the Ogun State Cultural Centre is currently hosting an exhibition of about 20 portraits of the celebrant, produced in The Legend Series as conceived and directed by the Olu Ajayi Studios...The works are part of about 80 such portraits produced by 12 mid-career painters in 2008 who had Soyinka in studio session, to launch the Legend Series, which has now also had in session Prof. Yussuf Grillo, Prof Brice Onobrakpeya, the Oba Ereduawa of Benin, Omo N'oba N'edo Uku Akpolokpolo, and Prof John Pepper Clark-Bekederemo. The exhibition project at Abeokuta, which was officially opened April 25 by Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, also features a weekly drawing workshop for select students from some higher institutions in Ogun State.
